Tech
Our technology team is led by Tom Gruber, co-inventor of Siri, who is known for his advocacy of Humanistic AI. LifeScore’s technology has solved the problem of how to generate new music on demand to meet specific requirements, such as duration, style and function, while retaining the essential quality and identity of an artist’s work. We believe the sweet spot of parametric music is where humans are the creative source of the music that we want to listen to, and technology is used to augment and amplify that human creation.
How our parametric remix production works
We do not train on a corpus of other people’s work and generate sound from numbers.
We build custom models of the artist’s original track or album that represent the musical structure of that piece, and use generative techniques to remix it on demand.
LifeScore has deepened and generalized the techniques to allow it to create remixes that optimize for a function (like sleep, relaxation, focus, or energy), or to change the style or vibe (like chill or dance), or even mash up multiple tracks into a new synthesis. All of these variations can be produced with the same technology, on demand, at the push of a button.

We only work on content with full contractual permission, and track the provenance of every piece of music produced. Even when generating thousands of remixes on demand, we know exactly who owns the rights to the content that went into it.
